In school you would first learn the colors, shapes, and sizes of Legos, the history of Legos, and the different things you could make with Legos, then after you had all of that stuff memorized you would be allowed to build something with Legos following a plan or a specific set of instructions.
With unschooling, you get to sit down in front of 20lbs. of Legos and play for as long as you want. Through playing you discover all the intricate characteristics of Legos, what you can build with Legos, and when you're done playing you might actually want to know the history of Legos so you go and look it up. Through discovery you learn things that stay with you for a lifetime; that's the beauty of unschooling : )
Fantastic!! Learning is such a beautiful part of life and doing it how YOU want too is even better!! Yay for unschooling!!
