This quote is on my calendar for the month of May and I like it because it is very true.

I don't believe in luck. I don't believe that someone else is in control of my life. I think without goals you have no direction and therefore no control over where you will end up in life. For as far back as I can remember I have had my life planned out. Of course my goals have changed over the years but I have always been working towards where I want to be and it feels good to finally be there! Well almost there ; )

When Jimmy got home from work today around 2:30pm I went outside and starting hauling dirt into my new raised bed where I'm going to plant some more tomatoes and peppers. I left for the barn around 3:30pm and when I got home around 6pm Lennon was taking a nap so I told Jimmy I was going back outside to finish up. He was all huffy and puffy and when I asked what the problem was he said, "You never slow down, you're an over achiever." [Excuse me but when did that become a bad thing?] I said, "Trust me Jimmy, if I could go take a shower right now and sit on my butt for the rest of the night I would gladly do so but if you want fresh garden tomatoes to eat this summer then I was going to have to keep going." I wish my house would clean itself, my garden would plant itself, my kids would entertain, feed and homeschool themselves, dinner would cook itself, the cows would milk themselves, the calves would feed themselves, and whatever else needed to be done would do itself but until that happens I'm the one who has to do it. That's why we are where we are in life, because I never stop, because each day I set goals and achieve them!
