Maternal love, like an orange tree, buds and blossoms and bears at once. When a woman puts her finger for the first time into the tiny hand of her baby and feels that helpless clutch which tightens her very heartstrings, she is born again with her newborn child. -Kate Douglas Wiggin
If you read my post on dealing with fear then you know I'm trying hard to get past all that and focus on birthing my baby naturally and peacefully. My first step is to bond with my new baby. I'm so busy with my other two kids and just life in general that sometimes I forget there's even a baby in there! I was looking through old pictures tonight and came across these. This was Lennon when he was about two weeks old. You forget how tiny newborns are! For some reason these pictures finally made this new baby real to me. I began to dream of holding it's tiny body and smelling its sweet little face. I wonder what color eyes and hair it will have and if it's a boy or a girl :)
