Cookie time!

GOT MILK? Because you're gonna need it for these cookies!

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups white chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine first four ingredients in a small bowl. Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl until combined. Add eggs, one at a time. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in white chocolate chips. Drop by well-rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes then transfer to wire racks to completely cool.
This is a Nestle Toll House recipe. I know, I know, Nestle is one of those horrible corporations with no corporate responsibility but you have to admit, they have some damn good cookie recipes! So if you are anti-Nestle then just use Hershey chocolate chips but for the sake of good taste DO NOT use the generic brand white chocolate chips! I've used generic brand milk and semi-sweet chips before and they're alright but the white chips taste awful so in my opinion the name brand white chips are well worth the extra cost. Also, when they say to cool on the baking sheet for two minutes and then remove to wire racks to cool completely, do it this way! This is what makes for a chewy delicious cookie, that and not over cooking them. I only cook mine for 9 minutes. They don't seem quite done at first but after the cookies cool completely off I promise they are perfect :)
