2 cups sugar
3 Tbs. cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 pinch salt
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
- In a saucepan, bring first 5 ingredients to a rapid boil for 1 minute.
- Add last 3 ingredients and mix well.
- Drop onto waxed paper (I use unbleached parchment paper) and let cool.

That's the recipe my mom uses! She always got compliments when she made them for school activities. I haven't had any in a while, I may just have to beg her to make me some!

ReplyDeleteThis is the recipe I have used for 25 years except for the peanut butter. I have never made them with PB. I'll have to try this tomorrow. My kids have been begging for another batch.
