Poo poo balls!

This is me seven weeks pregnant.

And this is me 40 weeks pregnant and well over 40 pounds heavier.

I wouldn't dare show you a picture of my stomach now, 4 weeks after giving birth, lets just say I have about 25 pounds to lose which is not too bad considering what I had to lose with my other two. I'm breastfeeding, eating healthy, and exercising. The hardest thing of all is not baking yummy sweets to eat. Like I've said before, I love to bake and I LOVE sugar! I've been pinning delicious dessert recipes on Pinterest and I can't wait to make them but for now I must wait :( Anyway, I wanted to share a recipe that I did make the other day that is helping with my sugary carb cravings.

Poo Poo Balls
They look delicious don't they! Okay that's not what they're really called but with all boys in my house it's kind of hard not to be gross ;)
1 container (16 oz. I think) of crunchy almond butter
1 large ripe banana
1 Tbs maple syrup
2 scoops cocoa whey protein powder
2 Tbs ground flax seeds

Mash up the banana, add all other ingredients and stir until mixed. Roll into balls and put onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze and enjoy. They are sweet, salty, and sticky, a lot like cookie dough!

Here was my inspiration for this recipe http://mariahealth.blogspot.com/2010/04/healthy-kids-snack.html.

  1. I gain a lot of weight in my pregnancies... 43lbs w/ my first, who knows what w/ my 2nd! It's tough! And I too have a huge sweet tooth! It was especially hard for me not to indulge too much while pregnant (I knew I would get even heavier if I ate as many sweets as I normally eat while not pregnant). That snack looks good!
