Tiny tote tutorial. *Disclaimer* I still consider myself a beginner so don't judge my sewing skills!
1. Cut your fabric. For the body of the bag, cut one 8"x 15" piece. For the straps, cut two 3"x 23.5" pieces.
2. Make the straps. Stitch the ends together creating one big loop. Fold the entire strap down the middle lengthwise and press. Open and press side under 1/2". Close the middle fold and edgestitch both sides.
3. Attach the straps. Fold your bag fabric in half widthwise and crease fold with your finger. Open and then fold lengthwise in thirds and crease with your finger. Open bag fabric up and you should be able to see the creases, this is how you will know where to place your straps. Pin the straps to your bag fabric making sure the handle seams are at the halfway point (widthwise crease). Measure two inches from the top on both ends of the bag and pin or mark your straps because you will only stich your straps on up to this point. Stich both sides of the strap to the bag stopping 2"from the edges.
4. Stitch the sides. Fold the bag together and line up all sides. Stitch along sides.
5. Finish the top. Press under the top edge 1/2". Press under again 1" and edgestitch the bottom fold.
7. Finish the straps. Turn bag right side out and finish the edgestitching the straps. You can do a boxstitch here if you want. And presto, you have a cute little tote for your little one!
