I'm always interested in the creative process of artists, crafters, and designers when they are making something so I thought it would be fun to walk you through mine :)
First, I printed the picture I wanted to use and found a quote on the internet that I wanted to use with it. I mounted the picture on a piece of white card stock.
Second, I decided that I wanted the picture to tuck inside the corner of the blue paper so I traced the outer edge of part of the design with my exacto knife then distressed it with a course file. I trimmed the blue paper down and distressed the top and bottom edges.
Next I went to my drawer with all the baby and little boy stickers and embellishments for inspiration.
This is what I came up with, a sticker and some little metal baby hand embellishments..
I typed up my quote in Word on landscape format, making sure to position it correctly on the page. I had to trim my 12"x12" paper to fit through my printer so I cut it to 8.5"x12" then printed my quote onto it.
Next, I put a few pieces of tape on to hold the paper together. Then I turned it over and adhered the blue paper and picture to the yellow paper.
I put the sticker on another sheet of paper and tore around the edges. I doodled a frame around the sticker and up the left side of the photo.
This is what I had so far but I knew it needed more.
I added some brads to the top and doodled a little more on the page. I like my pages pretty simple and this one felt complete.
